Cornwall Council recently supported creating better access into a field along the Newham Trail, from which there are great views over Calenick Creek and into the Truro River estuary.  Our volunteers went to have a look and think this is a great addition to the experience.  We will keep in contact with the Cornwall Council rangers looking after the trail, to see how the use and maintenance of the field shapes up in future, to balance amenity use, wildlife and views.  There are plans to add an interpretation board – watch this space!

Whilst we were visiting, we bumped into staff from The Agile Communications Agency based at Newham, Truro, who were doing a litter pick in their lunch hour – thank you!
