Discover the Truro Loops

BUILDING BRIDGES,
CONNECTING COMMUNITIES

ACCESSIBLE TRURO

Truro Loops is a project to enable car-free connections for the communities of Truro. We aim to make it as easy as possible for everyone who lives, works and visits the city to enjoy the open spaces, local countryside and rivers that make the city of Truro so special.

WHERE ARE THE TRURO LOOPS

By bike or by foot the Truro Loops are a series of accessible routes in and around the city of Truro, Cornwall. The routes connect various public spaces and communities across Truro and aim for easy, car-free travel.

Newham trail

The connection from the city's southern side to Newham and the business district beyond takes the path of the old railway branch line. This is a popular route with runners and cyclists.

Boscawen Park is Truro’s play, sports and activity hub. All activities are set in beautifully, maintained Parkland and gardens. The walk takes in the fantastic views of Truro.

Truro River Trail

This loop follows the western and eastern banks of the river from Newham, along Morlaix Avenue and back along Malpas Road to Boscawen Park.

“Of all the paths in life, make sure a few of them are dirt”

John Muir

VIBRANT. CULTURED. CONNECTED.

Truro is remembered by its cobbled streets and cathedral spires. Truro’s heritage is abundant with stories and landmarks, but as the city’s space has evolved, the relationship with the river which secured its fortunes is less obvious.

It’s time to connect Truro to its abundant riverside heritage and rediscover natural connections to the rivers and countryside that surrounds Cornwall’s only city.
